Hello!  I'm told that this website may go away, or it may be reduced in struc ture, but either way, I'll be moving my products to Handmade At Amazon.  I'm in the process of doing that right now.  Soap making supplies will be moving to Etsy.  I'm setting up new websites for each one to direct people to the right place, but just in case, you can contact me at [email protected]  Soon, all will be cool!

Fall in the Swannanoa Valley

It's fall here in Western North Carolina and the leaves are turning.  We're scrambling to harvest as much as we can before the frost hits.  This year we have a great variety of dried herbs available and some fall plants as well.  Check the web store or send us an email if you can't find what you need.  I'm off work for a week as we're out for fall break. Next week it's back to work at Warren Wilson, where I manage the coffee shop in the freshman dorm.  Come on out and get you some hot chai or locally roasted coffee starting the 27th.  In between work and classes, I'm making soap and tincures and syrups and herbs blends and...

Hi again,

Inventory at my "real" job is finally over and we're deep into another class at A B Tech.  One more to go in this series, then we start the soap making series again.  Since there was a mistake made at A B Tech and the lab was listed as a regular class, I guess that't what we're going to do.  If by chance you've been in a previous class or are an experienced soap maker and just want to come and make soap, by all means, let's do it!  The lotions class will start right after the next soap series is done and I'm really excited about this one.  I think there are 3 spots left, so register soon!

The cold weather has me staying inside, making soap (of course!) and ordering seeds over the internet.  I'll be raising mints this year (and selling plants when they're ready and dried material later) including peppermint and spearmint, but much more.  I'll have orange, pineapple, apple, black peppermint, mountain mint, chocolate and whatever else I can get a hold of.  I'll have some spices and herbs as well, thyme, lemongrass, rosemary, monarda, lemonbalm and more.

And don't forget to check out  I just printed a coupon for a free sample of Bare Escentuals new matte mineral make up.  I can't wait to try it.  There's a lot more there.  Take a look!

  See ya all soon,

Hey everyone!

Just a quick note to let you all know i'm still on track.  I've got a lot going on right now with inventory at work and the new classes starting at A B Tech.  I had a meeting last week with Jill Sparks there about setting up a holiday marketplace for small businesses.  We discussed a lot of options and as soon as I'm sure of anything, I'll let you all know.  My phone bit the dust, so I'm back to using the old phone number-828-280-4994, until I figure out what I'm going to do about the old one.  One more quick note, check out today's shop for freebies website-  I found a sample of shea butter and a few other fun things.

  See you all soon,

Welcome everyone!

Hey everyone!

Welcome to the official blog for Earth Echoes!  This is my first attempt, so please don't think I'm nuts or anything.  Ok, so if you know me, you know I am, but....

New classes will start on the 27th of this month and run for 12 weeks.  They start with the soap making series, then jump into a soap making lab, where you can come, use the facilities and all of my fun stuff, and then the last four weeks is the new lotions and oils class.  It's filling up fast, 10 at last count, with a limit of 16, so register now if you want a seat.  All of these classes are at A B Tech and you can find the information at

We had our first meeting of the soap club in November at Mary Gamble's house in Candler.  It was a lot of fun.  The next meeting is scheduled for the 22nd or 29th of this month, again at Mary's house.  Thanks again Mary for hosting the meetings!  I'm viting for the 29th so we can include the new class.  What do you all think?

I'll be ordering more oils, herbs and colors soon.  Let me know your wish list!  I try to get everything I can!

One more thing and then I have to rush off to my "real" job!  Everyone likes freebies, right?  I found a new site (new to me anyway) that has freebies everyday and you can get the list sent to you on a daily basis.  I've gotten some really cool stuff, including some soap samples for other soap makers.  Check it out!  The address is  Let me know what the most fun thing you get is!

  Gotta run,
